If you don't know Carrie or her story, she was diagnosed with breast cancer just after her 30th birthday in 2011. With two young children it certainly rocked her world. She spent the last year and a half in treatment and was healthy enough to return to "normal"; back to work, energy level returned and even her hair growing back.
Carrie is a high school health teacher and is in contact with hundreds of young people each year. As all teachers do, looking forward to her summer break. It was quickly interrupted with a test result reflecting that her battle with cancer was not over. Her doctors recommended aggressive treatment once again.
Just when she had thought she had beaten it, and would be able to live a normal life again, the fight has returned for her battle with cancer. Help us help Carrie. She was off work for just over a year which can certainly strain a family’s finances in these hard times. Please help to offset the costs of her travel and other expenses that she and her family accrue as she continues her treatments in her effort to destroy this nuisance.
